Palermo has been conquered by, well, nearly everybody. Here in the Norman Castle, other types of archetecture are mixed in. This part of the building is clearly Arabic.

My room. Only now can I truely appreciate it - by the time I hit the sheets, I was up nearly 48 hours, endured a transatlantic flight, a 90 minute hop to Sicily, a half-day of sightseeing and dinner with wine. I was asleep before my head hit the pillow.
